Artist Statement My love of art began early when I was a kid living down in the gulf of mexico. I would take old coat hangers and shape them into birds that I saw on the beach. We eventually moved to Taos New Mexico where my father would take me around to the galleries and go 'window shopping'. We eventually moved to the Midwest where it wouldn't be till college that I picked up the brush myself.

I moved back to the southwest during my 20's and have been painting for over 15 years now. My style is abstract, with a mixture of impressionism and if I had to say a style that I believe in, it would be abstract expressionism. I beleive art is in the eye of the beholder and abstract art is a style that can become very individually unique....

My art comes from a place of feeling. I am always trying to capture how I feel about something. I love to use alot of color, thick paint, and be a little messy. I never quite feel that all art must be perfect. I believe that we are messy people, with messy feelings and that confusion is what makes life interesting and beautiful. I try to use new techniques so my paintings do not become redundant and boring.

I also have a nice collection of photography, drawings, watercolors, sketches, etc, and might create some more "galleries" on here with those.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
