Artist Statement Dora, born in Luzern, Switzerland was born to be an artist and a mother. A first class illustrator with a intuitive sense of color and composition, she put her artist life on hold to raise two children and it was not really until they were grown that she renewed her lifelong ambition to develop a collection. She always did say to me that once she started painting, she would continue for hours and feared she would not be a good parent so...her children came first and her pictures came later, much later.

Dora Raphael is currently living in Toronto and continues even after a stroke several years ago, her passion for art.
