Artist Statement Like many people, I took a photography class back in high school, fell in love with it and have been shooting ever since. I have live in Oregon since the early 70's, so I am blessed with a rich medium to work with. You will notice that much of my work is covered bridges, barns and seascapes. The covered bridges are by far my favorite as Oregon still has almost 50 of the dramatic structures, which are full of history as well as beauty.
Like many folks, I have a job to pay the bills and cannot seem to find as much time as I use to for making trips around the state. Most of my shots are the result of quick day trips and being at the right place at the right time. I am seldom without my camera as you never know when the shot of a lifetime may present itself. In some respects I am old school, still using a manual 35mm SLR, but am gradually experimenting with digital. Remember to live each day as if it's your last...enjoy!
