Welcome to my Afrocentric range of artworks. In remaining true to myself, my first range of paintings is a reflection of where I am in life right now; discovering my identity as an African born and brought up in England. My mission is also to 'promote love through creativity', so my artwork centres on that theme, helping others to learn to love themselves, because until you learn to love yourself, you cannot love another. These paintings are the first in a range I am working on with a theme of 'nature'. By aligning ourselves with the natural laws of the universe, we can all live in peace and harmony, so it begins with Self Love, then spreads to the relationships we have with others, and finally, world love and peace. If we all lived by the simple rule of 'treating others as we wanted to be treated ourselves', the world would be a much better place to live in. The purpose of my first range is to send out a healing energy in my artwork that will help those who receive them to feel the love that they were created with.
