My mom was diagnosed with Lupus, which is a fairly new autoimmune disease, in 1999 and it has been a learning experience every since. Painting is a passion of mine and has always been just for me, but the past few years, my mom has been my inspiration for my cartoons and some of my paintings. The symbol for Lupus is a purple butterfly, so I incorporate a butterfly somewhere in all of my cartoons and even some of my paintings. I'd like to eventually start selling my pieces to support the Lupus Foundation, so this is just a small step towards that goal. All profits from this gallery will go towards research and awareness raised by the Lupus Foundation. I also do commissioned pieces, so if you have something in mind, feel free to let me know!
