Art, spirituality and culture are all intertwined. Through my work, I express my beliefs, which have strong roots in the power of the Feminine and Nature, and draw from various mythological and symbolic systems of both ancient and modern cultures. Using artwork, I tell my versions of the stories of the world as a whole, and of myself as an individual in that world. I have a great respect for what makes people different, as well as what makes us similar. Therefore, I've gained great inspiration from travel and experiencing other cultures. My feeling that everything and everyone are inter-connected on some level, and contains its own beauty, is translated into my art, which is a perfect medium to portray these ideas. I also enjoy diversity in the materials I utilize, and for each piece I create, I select the media that best exemplifies the symbols I’ve chosen to work with. Each piece of art becomes it’s own myth-story.
