The Lotus plant is fascinating it grows out of the muck and mud into a lovely exotic flower with a strong stem that flexibly bends to and fro.The pod is very interesting too and I believe it is edible.I often go the Brooklyn Botanical garden to photograph where they have a lovely collection of lotus flowers.
