Desiree is a native Washingtonian and her interest in art began when she watched her father draw her and doodle on every napkin in the house. As a child, she was encouraged to make and appreciate art by her family. She appreciates newsworthy and documentary photographs from the Internet and re-invents them as paintings. Her subjects are the content of these found images, and the photograph itself as cultural artifact self-educated abstractionist, figure painter. As a child she always painted on everything from, newspapers, maps and canvas. Desiree currently enjoys making life over with her paint bush into bright colors. Using acrylic paint D.
