Description 'The woods were silent, around the now crumbling tiny stone house, no animal or bird could be heard. She sat in the only room in the house, waiting, her back to the forest. She knew something was coming, something that wanted to take her forest away from her, to consume it, to devour it and its life and leave behind it nothingness. She could not let that happen. In the distance the roar began to build, as it drew closer the sound grew punctuated by the crunching and splintering of the trees before the metal beast. It was time, these human interlopers would learn that sometime legends of a protected sacred grove were very much a reality.'In part inspired by my 'Black Eyed Angel' piece, part out of an desire to try my hand again at photomanip, and part wanting try out the demo of Photoshop CS5 I just downloaded.I started on this piece. I used a piece fo stock bought from iStockphoto. Its well worth zooming in as there are a few details that are harder to see in the zoomed out view.Once I finished I struggled to come up with a title, but I settled on 'As patient as the forest', not a perfect name but i think it does encapsulate the look of the figure, so I thought to help set the scene I would write the above couple of paragraphs to add a bit more (although my writing skills could do with some improvement :))Anyway, enjoy :)

It allows me to explore difficult issues, problems, but also joys and loves, it frees me to express myself in a way that allows others to perhaps examine a part of themselves and look deeper within.
