My art explores issues of the human psyche and experiments in form while testing the theory that form can occupy more than one dimension by teetering on the edge of multiple perspectives. I work in acrylics, watercolors, and digitally, and I dabble in many other mediums too.
Salvador Dali is a huge influence, growing up in the St. Pete area allowed for multiple visits to the Dali museum to admire his works. It is my artistic goal to one day produce a series of paintings I feel could be displayed alongside his masterworks.
After my parents and Dali my most influential forces came from Goya, hip-hop, Rosenquist, The Viennese and Austrian designers of the pre-war era (not bauhaus or dada, the other ones). Holbein the Younger, and Alphonse Mucha are all notable influences. I have always been an avid reader of comic books and graphic novels and I feel that some of the best art of today is being produced in the medium once discarded as childish buy the likes of David Mack, Bill Seinkiewicz (sp?) and Todd McFarlane. Graffiti wise its all about Daim and zee Germans (that Banksy guy is pretty impressive too).
