Description This mage was taken in the Madikwe Game Reserve. This young make lion was feeding on a wildebeest. The light was perfect and the complimentary colors worked out very nicely! Nature is beautiful but cruel.

Artist Statement To me photography is about capturing the moment. Telling a story with a single image. It’s about seeing light, texture, composition, emotion. Ultimately your equipment is not as important as having vision – being able to see the image even before clicking the shutter.

Ansel Adams said: “You do not take a photograph, you make it!” This is what I hope to do.

I have been lucky enough to work on North Island in the Seychelles and on board the Queen Mary 2 but I still feel that being able to share images of Africa is a privilege and I hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoy creating them.
All images , unless otherwise stated, were taken in the wild in various Nature Reserves and Game Parks throughout Africa.
