Artist Statement One of my passions has always been Art. I have known since I was very young that art was going to be and have a strong influence in my life. I strive to learn something new every day; it takes a lot of time and practice. At 30 years of age I had the privilege of attending college for Illustration and design, as much as I enjoyed learning and achieving my degree, my true passion is still painting. I am basically a self taught artist. Working full time while raising a family of 3 children left me with little time for my passion. Fortunately I am finally able to devote my life to my passion. With the support of my friends, children, and wonderful husband, I have the encouragement and faith to continue my true dream as an artist.
For myself, my favorite medium is oil painting, but I also enjoy pastel, ink, and experimenting with watercolor. My love of animals and nature is my true inspiration. I believe that I was given a talent by God to share His beauty through the use of paint and canvas. I hope that the collectors of my work can be touched in some way and appreciate how precious life is and the beauty that lies within it.
I live in a very beautiful state, spending time in the country, at the lake, and taking hikes in the woods surrounded by beautiful trees and the beautiful creatures that live there are inspiration for my creations. I am blessed to share the passion that I have for art, the beauty of nature and hope that it is reflected in my work, and that all who view and/or purchase my work will feel that same passion as I do.
