She has worked at her own studio since 1979, enjoys corporate and private commissions and avidly pursues her personal work. Her enjoyment of gestural and calligraphic line led her to develop two courses in calligraphy and letterform which she offers online for the Academy of Art University. Her current work is available by appointment. Inquire online or call 640-558-8270.

The drawings, paintings, and letter arts presented here are explorations of various media and subjects, and meaning. These images are the result of meditation and represent a desire to explore visual structures, from natural forms and simple handmade objects to sacred syllables from ancient texts.

Making marks through hand lettering provides challenge, satisfaction, and an opportunity to project thought and feeling. Art embodies the hope to explore and create change through one’s own rhythm and movement. Ann Miller works with all aspects of art and design from creating business and personal identity to expressing her views through calligraphy, illustration, and fine art drawing and painting.

Art communicates by initiating, combining and renewing to express life, translating thought and experience into sensory form, and exploring theories of visual space, color and character of line. Art enables perception and awareness through the organization of expressive content and is always experimental.
