Description another arabian beauty queen strutting her stuff. i loved the way this painting came out and so did my mother. it hangs in her home. the swirly other worldly green back ground serves to accentuate the shining chestnut coat of this lovely animal. like a beautiful woman she holds her head high and pauses before sweeping into the scene. this breed of horse knows how to grab her audience's attention. original nfs but prints are available.
Cindy Beck, Lebanon Member Since June 2007 Artist Statement i have always loved horses. ok...maybe obsessed is a better word. in addition to being involved with horses for the past forty seven years, i sketched and painted them in my spare time[i even doodled them every where]. my work has evolved into capturing the life and spirit of the beautiful creature we call horse. i work mostly in pastels and acrylics but have also used mixed media to get certain effects.
my buddy icon is a grooming brush i painted. there are about fifty of them across the country in tack boxes or on shelves. the miniatures i painted on these brushes were my most popular item.
although i can no longer ride due to arthritis coupled with thyroid triggered obesity [grr] i can still create my own stable of horses on paper or canvas.
i am teaching at the lebanon valley council of the arts this summer starting june 22 on tuesdays. classes for children and for adults. contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or the council at email@example.com
