Graeme Murray, southport, merseyside, UK Member Since February 2007 Artist Statement About the Artist.
Graeme Murray is a digital artist and uses a camera and computer software to create his images. He is originally from Edinburgh and now lives with his family in Southport. He is 36 years old and has only recently begun to create these digital works after years of looking for something else to do. He attempts to make art that doesn’t need too much interpretation.
"It’s simple and straightforward."
The digital abstract work is created on computer and mainly involves the use of bold colours and simple shapes to create geometric patterns and landscapes. Inspired by anything from scraps of material to everyday scenes, he attempts to provide the viewer with a quick visual experience that can be enjoyed over and over again.
The digital photographs are edited, again on computer, and try to reflect everyday life as he sees it. There’s little in the way of complicated set-ups and most of the results are down to spontaneous picture taking and editing them later to create the desired effect.
He is happy to accept commissions and can alter any of the images to suit specific requirements.
The gallery here is only a small selection of his work. The full collections can be viewed on his website at www.digitalplaces.co.uk
Any of the images on my website can be ordered as prints or artwork.
