Artist Statement I have been making photographs since i was a young boy in Ohio. I started with a 2 1/4 box camera bought at a garage sale for 25 cents and made a darkroom out of an old upstairs closet. I lost interest and didn't start photographing again until 1980. I used nikon F's for photojournalism and a 4x5 field camera from Zone 6 studios for some landscapes and was a freelance photographer in Naples Florida for 15 years. I spent 7 years documenting street life, migrant farmworkers, drugs dealers, drug users, prostitution, aids, alcoholism, severe poverty and other social ills in Immokalee Florida, a farming community about 28 miles from naples. I am now back in my home state of Indiana using only digital cameras.
