Description Seen in a tiny pueblo in Aragon these red slippers were the only sign of life. Many of the pueblos are being abandoned by the young who go to the cities looking for work. The older folk get left behind in what were once thriving little communities. One of them wears red slippers.
Leander Starr Jameson, Aragon Spain Member Since January 2008 Artist Statement Leander Starr Jameson is a writer who has discovered that photography is quicker - every picture telling a thousand words as the saying goes - and if it doesn't, well it should! He escaped from London a few years ago and now lives in self-imposed exile in a tiny a tiny pueblo in northern Spain. 90% of his photographs are taken within a twenty mile radius of his home. He prefers the challenge and drama of black and white to colour but uses both in an attempt to record what he sees around him. He wishes he could paint. He's been round the block a few times and had more jobs than hot dinners. Now his days revolve around photography and the endless learning curve it presents.
