Artist Statement I live in the northernmost town in Michigan located in the beautiful and wild Upper Peninsula.
I’ve been shooting photos since I can remember. The first camera I used was a Kodak Hawkeye when I was about 6. Since then I have experimented with film, slides and digital photography. I was turned on to shooting with 1950s era stereo cameras by my husband and continue to work with them along with my modern digital equipment. My photo education has been entirely self-taught. I have a belief that if someone offers me their take on shooting that it may hinder my own. This may have been the long road but I feel it has given me a style of shooting that reflects my creativity and spirit.

I love to travel to natural places and enjoy the outdoors… camera at my side.

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul. ~John Muir
