Forum Image Attachments

A long requested feature has finally arrived! Itching to add some more visuals  to your  forum conversations? We just rolled out the ability to upload and attach up to three images directly into the forum post using the “Attach Image” feature. To attach an image to your post write the text that you want in the “Your Post” view and then click on the “Attach Image” tab. There,  you will be able to attach up to three images either directly from your desktop, or by using the clipped image id from an image found on the Site. 

Uploaded images will automatically be resized once you click the “Post reply” button (so it may take a little bit), and will not appear in your portfolio. You can also use the “clipped image id” to attach images which are already in your portfolio. Thumbnails of the attached images will be attached at the bottom of your post when you click on the “post reply” button.  Here is what the new tabs look like:

If you decide you want to remove the image after you have posted your reply, you can always edit the post and click on “remove image.”   This new functionality should make it easier to provide screenshots when reporting bugs or to simply show off personal shots you would rather not have in your portfolio (and we’d love to see photos of your Imagekind prints and frames on your living room wall!).

Storefront “Share” Button

While working on some upgrades and bug fixes for the Storefronts, we have an early addition that was ready before everything else. The “Add This” feature allows you or your visitors to tweet, digg, publish on facebook, send you an email ,etc.  directly from the images within your storefront (thanks to the widget provided by AddThis). The result looks like this:

To enable this functionality go to the Pages tab of your storefront  and click on “edit” next to the” Image Detail” page. Click the check box marked “enable ‘Add This’” button and you are good to go.
