Hey Imagekinders,

I've got some exciting news! We've just released a new feature: "For Display Only" or, images not for sale. You can now upload images to Imagekind that are not for sale, but that you'd still like to showcase.

It's easy to setup, just follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Imagekind account
  2. Click on the gallery where your image is
  3. Click on the image you want to make "For Display Only"
  4. Scroll down below where you can choose the Decor
  5. Check the "For Display Only" box
  6. You're set!
You can see the example of my image in my gallery here. "You'll notice that the price no longer shows. Not even in search results!

Still confused? Check out this quick video I made of the process.

I keep telling myself - patience, patience.

Now I'm trying to figure out why in the H you would put images up on this site that were not for sale. It's not as if there aren't enough images that are for sale. It does - I presume add extra work for those that are looking for images to purchase, now have to weed through those that aren't for sale - nice images - but I want to decorate my wall. OH! I really like that one - what do you mean I can't have it, thought this was a site where images were put that were for sale. Ever go to an art gallery and see the "perfect picture" and a wonderful sign beside it says "SOLD", I can't imagine it saying "NFS".

I suppose these will be up for comments and favorites too, how about featured?

I find this bit of news irritating to say the least. my apologies for being grumpy, it is nearly 2a.m.

Maybe a gallery of making-of shots, showing you at work in your studio or in the field.

That's great news, thanks guys - that means that I can put up some of my limited editions where I control the numbering etc. So they are really for sale, but not without me intervening in the process - I would just include a "contact me" in the image description and then order them myself through a private gallery.

Huh??? I thought this place is for selling art. Shouldn't IK be thinking of ways to encourage customers instead of driving them away?
