Folks,

First let me say in all sincerity we are looking into the inflated popularity postings and how to curb actions such as this. As has been mentioned, there is no way to guarantee 100% that people will not find a way to game a system, but we want to do our best to make it as difficult as possible. It's just honesty.

And, on the topic of honesty, that MS image on the HP was my bad. I didn't realize it was an MS desktop background. Sorry to horribly offend anyone. The 8 spots on the HP are carefully selected and it is something we take seriously. Contrary to belief, we are a relatively small team here at Imagekind. Anyone want to check? You are free to come stop by our office anytime! Just let me know before hand and I'll be happy to give a personal tour. Heck, I'll even challenge you to a little ping pong! ;)

In all seriousness, if a case such as this does happen again (eg, an image you feel is against copyright violation) please do use the appropriate method of reporting. It really helps us all out in the long run!

So with that, I'll let you continue on in your rantings and group hugs.

I am sorry about the misplaced image and will do better to catch these types of things from happening again. In the meantime, if it helps, here you go... take your best shot.

The Snickers candy bar was named after a pet Horse - being pummelled by candy bars would be nothing compared to being clobbered by an angry Horse.

Hi Nate,

Thanks for personally taking the heat about the MS image.  I'm not going to throw tomatoes at you but I have a concern.  If the HP spots are carefully selected and are supposedly given to people who have uploaded a personal avatar, written a bio and have a decent gallery of their own artwork displayed, how did this particular Member get on the HP (he/she (no name) had none of those, in fact only had that one stolen image in his/her free gallery)?  IK has said that members with Paid Membership status will be given higher ranking status with regards to image/member promotion (such as HP images, Featured Member Artists and within IK's search engine). 

Has IK changed its policies?  Are paying members no longer given priority over members with free memberships?
