I thought it would be cool to start a thread about the places and buildings that you believe everyone needs to see before they die.

For me, after visiting Italy, I would have to say everyone needs to do one thing:
One the left side of the Cathedral of Florence, you can pay a small fee to climb the stairs (about 450, I think) to climb to the top of the dome (designed by Brunelleschi). It was the most amazing experience of my life. I wanted to cry when I reached the top and viewed the entire city. Also, on your way back down, you are able to go inside the dome and view the inner frescos. You are seriously right next to it! All that seperates you from them are glass, it's breathtaking. I actually did start crying!

Anyway, that's my spill.
