New Math ????

Can someone please explain the new math to me ? I can not for the life of me solve this math problem.
Here goes....If a group has 51 members and each can post 3 favorite images to the group, how can the group have 183 images ??? 

I only have two years of college so I quess I should have went 4 years instead  ;-) .

Some of the pieces are actually in a parallel universe sharing electrons with this universe.
