I have used roads in my paintings off and on for many years. Usually as a symbol for the question "where are we going?" Will share a few here.

"Ara" is a generic Polynesian word meaning pathway although spelt and pronounced differently in different Polynesian cultures. "Tor" is a Celtic word usually discribing a rocky limestone outcrop on the top of a hill. This one in particular is situation in the Central Otago region of New Zealand's South Island.
