Great idea for a group!

It's never too late to start learning, just do it!

Yes I have played musical instruments of one variety or another, especially when I was a young teen. Now I own a keyboard which I don't play too much, but my passion is guitars.

Between myself and my hubby we have seven guitars and a mandolin. I even practice when I'm waiting for artwork to upload to IK (and Cafepress etc too). All these 10/20 minute bursts of practice, my playings improved no end since I joined this place.

I play Upright and Electric bass (although I'm very out of practice thanks to school) and have dabbled around with drums and mandolin a bit. The upright photo I have up here is actually of my own upright bass and beat up fingers =P Great idea for a group btw.

In my family, my Hubs is the long-time guitar player - we have some shared guitars, I have a beautiful bass as well, and I like to fool with the keyboard.  I've never been able to stick with lessons either, I play by ear and with whatever magic is available. : )  Since I insisted that musical instruments be available for the kiddies since they were little, we have two teen sons who play guitar and bass - it is wonderful! :D

hey now that is really cool! i also try to play the keyboard but i just can't make it sound like music, either i am getting too old or maybe the gods just don't want me to.
