To create art on the computer many people use programs like Adobe Photoshop.... but who uses Paintshop Pro? In my experience Paintshop Pro (PSP) has nearly all, if not all the tools which other design programs have. Yet it doesn't seem to be very popular, but why that is, no idea! So, this group is for the people on Imagekind who do use PSP. In here we can show our work to each other, ask questions about PSP tools and techniques etcetera. If you use PSP, please join, you are very welcome!

With love,
Tinto

P.S.
Well, I do know that in professional business it is popular because it runs on Apple too.... but for the "home-user" who usually doesn't have an Apple computer, PSP I think would be a more logical choice. Since it is way lighter, cheaper and easy to use. Plus I think much more non-professional fora and tutorials on the internet. (But this maybe just me being biast ;-)

I use Painter X also. Had a little trouble with it in the beginning but there are some great tutorals on Corels site that got me started. I way prefer Painter over Phtotshop...

Hi Janet and Joan,

I have had several versions of Paint Shop Pro over the years, now I am using PSP X.
It is a pity that I have never seen Painter X so I have no idea if there are any similarities or not..... So can't help you with that.....

But dear Janet, if you use Adobe, understand how everything works, tools etc. then that is perfect isn't it? No need to switch to another editor? Is there a specific reason why you would want to use a different editor?

Enjoy lurking anyway, you are very welcome ;-)

With love,
Tinto
