Gallery announces an open call to artists working with any photographic
process to submit entries for its fourth annual National Juried
Photography Exhibition. The exhibition juror, Julian Cox, Curator of
Photography, High Museum of Art, Atlanta, Georgia, will award up to
$1000 in cash prizes. Artists age 18+, working in 2D and 3D that
incorporates output from any photographic process, from the US and
Canada, may submit 3 images. Additional images may be submitted at
additional cost for up to a total of 5 works. Work previously exhibited
at 12 12 Gallery is not eligible.

Each entrant is required to pay a non-refundable $25.00 (US) entry fee

The 40th Annual River Road Show sponsored by the Louisiana Art and Artists' Guild, is receiving entries for the December 2 - January 29 exhibit at the Louisiana State Archives Building in Baton Rouge. Deadline for entries is September 14, 2009. Entry fee is $35 for three entries and $5 for each additional submission up to 10. This is a national competition with cash prizes of $2,800. All United States artists 18 years and older are invited to submit any original two-dimensional art except photography or digitally-created/enhanced works. Call for Entry Arte Laguna Prize
The Italian
Cultural Association MoCA and Arte Laguna, organizes the Fourth International
Art Prize “Arte Laguna”. There are 3 sections: painting, photography and
sculpture. The Prize is open to all artists, without any limits of age, sex,
nationality or other qualification. The selection of the artworks will be
carried out by 3 Juries composed by experts of Contemporary Art: Viviana
Siviero,Alessandro Trabucco, Igor Zanti, Stefano Coletto (Bevilaqua La Masa
Foundation), Rossella Bertolazzi (Director of theIED), Lorenzo Respi (Arnaldo
Pomodoro Foundation). The pizes are an amount of 5.000 euro for each section.
Moreover are planned collective and personal exhibitions in Venice, art
galleries and in the Italian Institute of Culture in Wien. The application is

All images should have a seasonal element and be submitted based on the season appropriate to the location in which it was taken. WPGA would like to see images celebrating the seasons -in landscapes, cityscapes, people at work or on holidays, as well as images expressing the impact of the seasons on living conditions. In this sense documentary images are also welcome provided they represent a story related to a specific season. Although documentary can but does not necessarily mean drama and tragedy: it can also relate the joy of a summer camp or the happiness of a good harvest.

Eligibility: This competition is open all artists over the age of 18. All entries must be teapots composed primarily of ceramic materials completed by the artist within the last three years. Up to three entries may be submitted by each artist. This competition is specifically aimed at small teapots. The teapot as a functional item is believed to have originated in China (perhaps the Yixing area) as a personal drinking vessel. As such, teapots were not large. Over time, the form evolved to suit the desires of the users. This show celebrates the origin and diversity of the teapot. In the spirit of these personal, functional items, all teapots entered in this competition shall not exceed a volume of 16 ounces (approximately 500 mL).
Fees: A non-refundable fee of $40 (for up to three entries)
