My trip to the Rockies is currently in progress. This ski vacation to Copper Mountain in Colorado, from Christmas to New Years in 2008 is proving to be an awesome experience. I skied for the first time in my life! The mountains all around are absolutely spectacular. Even though it is 9,640 feet high, the sun is very intense, but when it sets the air is bitterly cold. The majestic peaks towering above us are almost surreal. You look out a window at night and what appears to be an airplane is actually a snow cat grooming the ski trails straight up the side of the mountain.
