Artist Statement Hi guys! I originally hail from western Appalachia, where I grew up in a rural mountain setting, with rivers and streams, wildflower fields, and abandoned homes on the riverbanks. I spent many days wandering and collecting rocks, leaves, bugs, and feathers to take home to the kitchen table and draw. I am so inspired by the beauty and mystery of the natural world and all of its powerful, fragile, and imperfectly beautiful things.
