Artist Statement I am an amateur photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I have developed an interest in photography in recent years because it causes me to see things in new ways, and to better appreciate the beauty and complexity of the world around me. I am especially interested in capturing interesting textures, both man-made and natural. I am drawn to that which is worn, rusted, faded, but beautiful in spite of, or perhaps because of this.
