Artist Statement An avid horselover, possibly since birth, I have been drawing horses since I could first pick up a crayon. My artistic ability has increased alongside my knowledge of horse anatomy, motion, and character. I have worked with many types of horses, training, riding, and showing. I work in various media on paper including graphite pencil, watercolor, water-soluble graphite, ink. Chinese brush painting is another primary medium I work in, learning about this art form while living in China, through independent study, and with teachers.
