My artwork is mainly influenced by grace, femininity, and oftentimes humor. The reason I love to paint portraits is because a facial expression can speak volumes. There are endless stories and emotions written in each visage we wear.

Jason Rudolph Peña is a sixth generation Arizona native and lifetime Phoenician. Starting out as a self taught artist in his early twenties, Jason's inexperience with oil paints eventually caused him numerous health problems. Now Jason mainly works with acrylics, inks, and watercolors for health reasons. Even though painting is often painful and difficult to accomplish, Jason continues to create elegant work with love and passion.
