Description This is a portrait inspired by one of my favorite artists, Frida Kahlo. I wanted to paint a haunting portrait of her. This piece is unique in the fact that it's my only faceless portrait. The original piece is hand painted acrylic on a 4' X 4' piece of wood.
Jason Rudolph Pena, Phoenix Member Since May 2007 Artist Statement ARTIST'S STATEMENT My artwork is mainly influenced by grace, femininity, and oftentimes humor. The reason I love to paint portraits is because a facial expression can speak volumes. There are endless stories and emotions written in each visage we wear.
