Artist Statement Ricky Njoto was born in Surabaya, Indonesia and he currently lives in Melbourne, Australia to finish his college study. Since young Ricky has shown great interests in art, the walls at his home are proves of that. In middle school Ricky has hand-drawn hundreds of images that he kept for himself. In high school Ricky was inspired to be an architect. After finishing high school in the US, Ricky went back to Indonesia and attended an interior architectural college. After 1.5 years, however, Ricky decided to drop out his college study and moved to Australia to take a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He didn't abandon his art interests, though. While taking the Entrepreneurship major, he also took a minor in design studies and a diploma in professional photography. After graduation, Ricky is aiming to be a professional digital artist, specialising in medias such as photography, photoshop and illustrator.
