Artist Statement Pamela was born in Ruidoso,NM and raised in her great grandparents' territorial home in Lincoln, NM. After graduating from Capitan H.S.she studied at NMSU-A where she had the privilege and honor of being taught by world acclaimed Sudeshna Sengupta in silk painting, watercolor, and intaglio printmaking. Pamela says silk painting is a liberating and vibrant art, watercolor is filled with light, and intaglio printmaking is a rare and very labor intensive process, but rewarding.

Other mediums Pamela likes to work in are photography, oils, and acrylics. She believes that if people would like to see ' America become glorious in spiritual degrees' { Abdu'l-baha}, We must start in our own communities and families by working together with open minds and forgiving hearts.Pamela extends a special thanks to her grandmother, Tomasita Griego, and the uplifting group of people who show her love. "Art is the minds legacy, and all we have is right now." Her favorite motto is, "no matter how small the light and how great the darkness. The darkness can not over come the light."profile photo taken by Evan Mcleanden.
