DescriptionYellow and black, shown in nature by a sunflowerThis is my favorite nature shot. A lot of great shots I took with my Canon Powershot A510, a tiny little camera with lots of power. My family and I were in Madrid, in the gardens in the center of the city. The light of the sun was shining down rather brightly. Normally, like most photographers, I had this kind of lighting because it gives harsh shadows and gives lots of contrast. But then I saw this sunflower glowing in the sun. I realized that the sun made the center of the flower pop with contrast and color of the surrounding petals. Not content to get a picture of the flower in its entirety, I cropped the flower so part of it was cut off on the side.
