Artist Statement Painting for me is all about bold colors and clear forms. It’s about simplifying shapes and infusing the canvas with colors to invoke meaning. My current series “Eating Together” is about my love for sharing meals with friends and family, especially breakfast which is my favorite meal.

Art has always been part of my life. I was twelve when I painted my first oil painting. At Brown University even though I was a computer science major I took painting at RISD and my master’s thesis was an algorithm that created a painterly looking image from a photograph. After Brown I moved to Los Angeles to work in the film industry creating visual effects for blockbuster movies such as Happy Feet and Superman Returns. After several years I moved to Philadelphia where I obtained an MBA from The Wharton School and also participated in the exhibition Grand Small Works at The F.U.E.L. Collection. After two years I founded a mobile apps company and illustrated its storybook apps, which have been featured on the App Store, in the Android Market, and on USAToday.com.
