DescriptionYou know how you look at different animals and you're like, wait, how do they make babies? Like birds. Or turtles. Or frogs. I actually don't wonder about turtles anymore, because my parents have a bunch of turtles, and I caught them a couple of times. I never meant to, and every time I caught them off guard, it was kind of a bad situation for the male turtle, because, well, they were all box turtles. So when I startled them, the female box turtle would clamp her shell up, and the male would still be stuck inside, and he would just lay there almost on his back rocking slowly and miserably to try to get out. Unless they were still doing it. He looked pretty stuck to me though. This is for my friend Janet, who appreciates my rambling stories, I think.
Iris Liu, Seattle Member Since June 2007 Artist Statement Hello! My story is that my parents both went to art school and they never let me consider that as an option. But now I'm all grown up, so I can do whatever I want, except I can't afford art school! It's ok. I spent my money on other experiences. At the moment I am in Seattle, come visit! Nothing else to report.
