Artist Statement When i was disabled i had to seach an exsistince.I engeneered my product from a waste product.The shell was dumped on the beaches in Hermanus by the factories.It was left to rot and disintergrate back to see sand. This product was the mother of pearle shell. I improve and innovated my creations,went through trails and error till I perfected. the industry is labour intensive,needs much skills.I create and design unique art products. The creation is of high calibre which demonstrates high quality of craftmenship which require skill and practise.The design are trend setting and original. I will say my products is of true soverneers of the African continent " AFRICAN RAINBOW SOVERNEERS". We offer the world rainbow pieces from the africa rainbow.Our products resembles the rainbow which demonstrates the universal principal unity in diversity. A carved product is a reproduced thing that must posess the form of the universal thing without it matter.It is documented there is no beter colour on earth than mother of pearle. I specailize in endangered species from the two oceans multible colourful corel reef fishes, colourful butterflies from the continent and floral kingdom. The dome carving and concentric circle determines the pricing you 'll find a low meduim or high it can also be based on the size of the carvings which ranges from 5.5cm to 1cm. Mostly when the size go small the dome must be high to complete a quality carving.
