Danielle Booth, Berkeley Member Since August 2008 Artist Statement Photography isn’t an act of archiving memory or representing “the world” as such. It’s a form of illustrating a feeling or concept or mood or essence. What I view through the lens isn’t a product but a potential for something beyond what I experience in the world—a new way of seeing in which the image becomes its own experience.
The parameters of projects liberate me from the overwhelming everything that snapshots are made of. My love for detail zooms in on .../ angles \... that recontextualize my everyday.
