Artist Statement Create Your Recovery (www.CreateYourRecovery.blogspot.com) is a non-profit organization in the making, helping those with eating disorders find recovery through creative ways which promotes self love and self care. Creating helped my recovery reach a level that I was not able to achieve in the traditional sense of therapy with talking or medication. Using creative outlets, I was able to push past my boundries and reach beyond my limits and find a place in recovery that I didn't think I could achieve with my eating disorder. Personally, I needed to use my creativeness to hit different angles that professional help hadn’t reached. In my quest and endless reach for total recovery I have pushed past my own limits and let myself tap into exploring, learning and expanding my own boundries.
