Jeannette La Tulippe, Sprague River, OR Member Since February 2011 Artist Statement Hi everyone! I am revamping my galleries to create a greater variety of them filling them with more images to wrap your mind and life around.
In my Critter/Animal Gallery some of the images are warm and fuzzy, and some are cute, and with some you'll be glad someone else was able to take the picture for you because these guys would rather do wild things than have their photograph taken.
Wow, finally an Industrial Art Gallery is coming! Do you want to feel that strength, permanence, and urban juices with torque. Look at these!
The "Landscape" gallery is a gallery that can transport you to another time or place. I have wondered how many times I felt that I really needed to go on vacation but because of time or finances I couldn't. I wanted to see something that isn't found in thousands of homes or that wasn't purchased from just another retailer with a foreign "made in" label affixed to it. I can recall paying much more for one of these thousands of scenes that, by now, were just so ordinary. Bring one of these scenes home with you and transport yourself there every time you view it. Give yourself some well deserved serenity in what seems more than not an ever increasing chaotic world.
My Modern/Abstract Art Gallery has highly original powerful emotional provoking images say many men. I have seen much modern art and I now roll my eyes back in my head to see just another swash of paint or perhaps a paint can thrown across a room onto a canvas or even a crayon type of drawing. Please please make it stop!
The guys generally love these pieces. Comments from the guys are "highly original, powerful, and that they aren't just something that is seen but they can actually be felt. Some of the images, when seen in person, have provoked physical responses which the guys say that they absolutely can not help. Now that I know that they can feel the art I know I have succeeded.
The pictures in my Spirituality Gallery make my spirit soar.
I especially like my Surrealistic Gallery. It seems to be a world between the conscious mind and the unconscious (the grey line).
The Waterscapes Gallery has a transcending quality. Water can make us feel cool, calm, and even out of control. What do you want to represent in your home or office?
My Vintage Gallery will have whimsey, vintage vehicles, and a bit of Americana thrown in. Where you may not be able to go I was fortunate enough to be able to. Go there with me and bring home warm home settings, murals (that are disappearing), and vintage vehicles that traveled our roads without chips and the watchdogs that accompany them.
