Artist Statement Growing up as a youth in the Southern and Central Coasts of California, I always loved creating art. I painted, sketched, and sculpted various materials. I never really did anything with my craving for creation except give my art away to relatives and friends, and win a few awards in school. But I always had this gnawing feeling inside of me............

So, after moving from California to the wide open high desert of Southern New Mexico a few years ago ,I decided to pick up the brushes and dive back into my one constant life passion. After thirty years(time flies)I started out a bit rusty but have now found an enjoyable and rewarding niche. An admiration of Native American culture and the rich heritage of New Mexico has led me to work on symbolic paintings. I currently work in acrylics and am also exploring some abstract
