Artist Statement I started drawing as soon as my mother put a pencil in my hand and I eventually began the pursuit of recreating reality with pencil and paper. For over 36 years drawing has been one of my creative outlets.
While working in the digital graphic arts industry I added the capabilities of digital drawing and painting to my repertoire. Digital art offered me the occasion to explore abstract creations in more robust manner. Yet, I still return to my roots of realism most often.
My primary themes are people, wildlife, and musical creations. When it comes down to it, if I see something I like, I will often eventually draw it with pencil and/or create it digitally, Sometimes when I find myself without pencil and my sketch book, I'll do a rough drawing with whatever I have available for future reference.
