Artist Statement Albanian-Czech photographer, born in 1952 in what is today’s Republic of Kosovo, studied Camera at the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic (1973-1978), where he has also lived ever since then. Founded the first private (commercial) photographic gallery in Czechoslovakia (today’s Czech Republic) in 1992, had several exhibitions of his works during his career. The elements which make his works stand out the most are classical hand-coloring techniques, use of traditional photographic methods and the abstract and surrealistic themes and atmosphere of his images, sometimes taking inspiration from surrealistic painters such as René Magritte.
