Description Two ancient boat-houses in the Marina di Crapolla, on Amalfi's Coast, still used by local fishermen. The place was an ancient landing place for water resupply, and roman ruins, including the remains of a temple, dot the area. IN medieval times an important abbey was buil over the temple. During the Italian Wars between Spain and France, the Turkish fleet of Turgut Reis, allied with France, disembarked an army here that went on to attack and ravage Sorrento, part of the Spanish Vice Kingdom of Naples. Today, it's a marvelous place hidden in a cove, only known to local fishermen and few trekkers.
