Artist Statement The natural world has always intrigued and influenced my creative expression. Through writing and photography, I continue to try to capture that which remains so elusive. For those of us living an urban life, we tend to spend much of our time accumulating and producing things that are quite meaningless and inconsequential to living in harmony with this earth and all other living creatures. I strive to bring a moment of pause to those, who like me, are just too busy to see the beauty in the world in which we reside. I want to do more than reside on this planet, I want to live hand in hand with it. I choose water, sky, earth, and fire for inspiration. I see things others might miss, I hear things others ignore. I do not think it is due to some special gift, or calling. It's simply because I find more solace in the order of the natural world than I do in that of our man made world. I hope to produce images or words, that will allow others into this beautiful, peaceful natural world.
