Artist Statement Hello,
My name is Michael Johnson. I am a mostly self taught photographer, with infusions of greatly appreciated critiques and education by master photographers along the way. The education continues daily.
The reason I got into photography is because I believe that there is an inherent beauty in almost everything in life. Some beauty is a timing issue, and you have to be there at that precise moment to be a part of the beauty. While other things have been beautiful all along and you either had to get to where the beauty was or to look closer to what was right in front of you. In either case, the challenge is to FIND THE BEAUTY.
My hope is that somewhere out there is someone who thinks like me (just hurt my arm patting myself on the back, won’t do that again.).At any rate, I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I have enjoyed taking them. Off we go to FIND THE BEAUTY.
