Artist Statement My work is constantly evolving. Florals, nature, landscapes and cityscapes all hold an interest for me. I hope you enjoy my photos. Thanks for visiting my pages and photos.
Gettysburg holds a special interest for me. Repeated trips to the battlefield from the camping trips and school tours as a child, to more recent day trips as an adult all accumulate as deep respect for those who gave up everything for those three days frozen in time.
My background in art has taken a round-about route. I originally went to college as an art major in the 70's. Bits of life happened, found my way sidetracked with fiberarts, always taking photos, following that creative thread where ever it led.
Color is everything. I love color. whether it is fabric, yarn or objects in photos. There are so many amazing things that can be done with color.
Fast forward to the present. I am not a professional photographer. That title is reserved for those who make their living taking photos and selling them. I have yet to reach that level. (I haven't given up yet) So in the meantime, if you enjoy my photos, please leave a comment and let me know. If you really hate them, don't tell me as I hate rejection.
