Description This calligraphic work features a poem by Hannah Senesh, a national heroine of Israel, but it speaks to all of us who are grateful for the beautiful things that we hold dear on this earth. I created this mixed media work, and after the collage was created, I put the poem into calligraphy. Here are the words of this poem: My God, My God, I pray that these things never end. The sand and the sea, the rush of the waters,The crash of the heavens, the prayer of the heart, The sand and the sea, the rush of the waters,The crash of the heavens, the prayer of the heart. This would make a lovely gift for your home, or for someone you love.
Irene Konig, Austin Member Since December 2008 Artist Statement I have been an artist, in one medium or another, for most of my life, and I love to create images that will speak to people. Using calligraphy, my art has impact both in words and design. Much of my art came about because of deep emotions that I felt, and this carries through it to the viewer. These artworks make great gifts for others who are important to you, as well as deserving a place in your own home.
