Artist Statement Robert, ever since his early childhood has been on a collision course with digital imagery. Born in the rural planes of Suffolk, England he became involved in art using technology as the channel for expression. With the introduction of a computer at an early age he started developing software demonstrating the emotive combination of abstract motion graphics and audio. This has been the catalyst for his unique and innovative career in the arts.

With a passion for cinematography and motion pictures, this has led Robert onto the path of still photography. Still photography provides him an instant platform to deliver a personal and intimate experience for his creativity.

During the process of capture, he has the unique ability to conjure up and see past the reality presented in front of him. Lying within the picture he will extract the hidden story for all to see, and to enjoy.

One important element is ubiquitous across all his work – the element of emotion. His works; whether it be photography or motion picture film is never complete until he is personally able to feel an emotive response. He is emphatic that if an emotive response is not felt by him-self, then how can he expect others to feel something.

It is of no surprise then, that he has an appreciation, and an underlying interest in the relationship between art and the human psyche. It is this understanding, combined with his personal experiences that he is able to deliver emotive work for people to enjoy.
